I was there for breakfast. The owner is very nice and a cat friend. The breakfast was delicious and very cheap. Coffee tastes very good. Inside the restaurant it feels like in the good old times and many locals are visiting. The cat Maya-chan is very cute.
What a wonderful little shop. Everyone here is very friendly, also has a cute cat roaming around inside the shop! Great place to take a break.
Located in the Bikan Historical Quarter of Kurashiki, Ueda is a cosy café with a friendly boss: Momo-chan. The elderly owner explained to me that Momo-chan is her daughter.
We had a morning breakfast here before Christmas 2024. Never imagine the traditional fit out coffee shop could make a very good cup of coffee with Morden single origin feel tasting. Dark but sweetie taste with layering drip coffee. Simple toast with boiled egg. Comfortable seating and good lookout to the street vibrant.
Extremely Retro coffee shop. Immense portions. Was shocked at how much food received. So tasty and home made taste too. The atmosphere was cozy. Loved the worn furniture, the cat who is the boss, the 60-70s jazz vibe and aside from an English menu, no other tourists. I hope it stays open. It's a great low key date place with no need to impress.
Stopped in for coffee and toast one morning on our visit to Kurashiki. Our favorite part was getting to chat with the owner after our breakfast! She was super nice, and we bonded a bit over her time spent in the US as a teen. I really enjoyed the experience. (We never got to meet the cat, but did appreciate all the art dedicated to it!)
Lovely and cozy atmosphere with a very cute cat :) The owner is super friendly and we had a great conversation! Food and coffee is delicious too!! Would come here again!!
The grandma and all the other people are so nice. I order a spaghetti set with iced coffee and they both taste great. Such a great place and I would miss the energy and hospitality of the grandma!
